HOW OUR WORK IS FUNDED
Simply Beauty Pamper Services C.I.C, provides accredited Beauty Guild courses to local people who are interested in beauty, want to start a career within the beauty industry or need to upskill. We aim to empower people who have low or no skills, that face multiple barriers and have little to no opportunity to upskill and progress in their education and onto employment. Through sponsorship, we provide pamper services to the community at no cost, at local events and venues, and use local people we have trained to attend these events, as a way of building their confidence in these new found skills as well as keeping them involved in community engagement.
The organisation was formed in May 2020, unfortunately right at the beginning of the pandemic, and due to restrictions hitting the beauty sector the hardest, our vision to provide pamper services to the community could not come to light. We adapted our services to supporting other local organisations during this time, building our networks and creating safe online courses so people could still engage with us. We successfully supported 6 young people through the governments kickstart initiative and worked closely with local business' to provide a wider variety of in work training experiences and progression steps opportunities.
In July 2022, we secured our first funding and opened a Beauty Training salon in Clapham, North Street. We successfully ran an accredited beauty program to 10 local young people, who all gained an accredited certificate in individual Eyelash extensions and Manicure Treatments.
